Jessica Fields at La Rue Fine Chocolate

Jessica Leitko Fields is a working painter living in Greenville, SC.

“I'm originally from, lets say, Houston, because who remembers anything from before they were five anyway. And there I garnered a love for all things flat and stripey. Add a dose of a Louisiana rice farm on my mother's side and all those fields start to make sense. Then I married a Fields! Like a joke. I liked them so much I married them.

I went to school at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design where I learned to love paint and color and texture and to really really hate snow.

Lisa M. Shimko’s paintings reveal the influences of a sundry of research topics, old memories and daydreaming. In 1994, Lisa earned a BFA in Painting with a minor in Art Therapy from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The urban landscapes of the northeast supplied a different kind of nature for her to explore– architecture, social issues, history and all the music in between. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina became Lisa’s home in 2000 and its sub-tropical estuaries added a new chapter to her aesthetic book.

Aspiring to reflect and feed the varied natures of the muses and parts of the brain, Lisa’s painting style ranges from multi-colored painterly abstracts to honed animals imbued with an allegorical curiosity. Lisa has called South Carolina home since 2000, from the low-country of Charleston to the Appalachian foothills of Greenville, explorations continue.

Patti Resso | As an artist, I am influenced by the beauty of the movement of watercolor paint and the spontaneity achieved with the mixture of water and its unexpected meanderings across the paper. I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but lived in the tropical beauty of South Florida for over 40 years, and am currently residing in Surf City, North Carolina. I am Inspired by bold colors of tropical landscapes, oceans, waves, coastal beauty, birds, and our beloved pets. I seek to portray a laid-back attitude and a loose and free technique in my paintings. I started painting in watercolors in 2011, attended workshops and classes, and still learning the endless techniques available with this medium.
